ADDITIONAL SERVICES
Pacific Dance Project is proud to offer a variety of additional services in order to personalize your workshop. You may choose from some of our most popular classes or suggest your own!
Specialty classes are not added into the schedule unless requested. Additional fees may apply (please refer to Tuition Breakdown). In order to guarantee your desired schedule, please notify Pacific Dance Project of specialty requests at the time of your reservation.
Choreography
Pacific Dance Project is proud to provide you with talented and unique choreographers! At the time of your reservation, please notify PDP of your choreography needs, including length of music, style of dance, level of dancers, etc. Please include any information that may help our faculty to better prepare the choreography for your dancers. You may choose your music, or if you prefer, the choreographer will choose it for you. On average, a routine will take four to six hours to complete, so please consider this when scheduling the length of your workshop. Additional choreography fees will apply (please refer to the tuition breakdown).
Dance Industry 101
Dance Industry 101 is a class that may be substituted in the normal workshop schedule. In this class, the instructor will help your dancers to better understand the dance industry. The class will cover potential dance careers including teaching, the TV and Film Industry, company performance, etc., as well as headshots, resumes, booking an agent, auditions, and more! This is a great class if you have dancers who are considering making the move to the professional dance world.
Partnering
Partnering is an essential skill needed for all dancers. Dancers will learn a variety of lifts ranging from basic to advanced and will include spins, counter balances, presses, duet choreography, and more. Dancers will work on timing, control, communication, and safety under the direction of two PDP instructors.
Freestyle
Nine out of ten auditions require a dancer to freestyle. Sometimes, that is the entire audition! This class will help students become comfortable creating their own style and movement. There are no wrong answers in freestyle class! Dancers will work to vary their movement through a variety of styles and a wide selection of music.
Routine Cleaning
Do you need extra help cleaning your routines for competition? PDP's instructors are not only teachers and choreographers but also judge for several competitions. Instructors will walk through the routine while focusing on unifying the dancers. Routine cleaning is generally one hour in length per routine and is scheduled following the workshop. Additional fees are calculated on an hourly basis (please refer to Tuition Breakdown).
Dance Team Prep
Many of our faculty members have formerly been a part of a professional dance team. Dance Team Prep is a class that may be substituted in your normal workshop schedule. This class focuses on the audition process, basic technique, arena performance, and physical appearance. This is a great class for dancers who would like to audition for a professional or college dance team.
Mock Competition
Pacific Dance Project has developed a mock competition in order to provide your dancers with additional routine critique. Instructors will judge each performance as if it were a real competition. Dancers will be given score sheets with an evaluation of their performance. You may choose to do the competition in costume but are not required to do so. Dancers will not compete against one another but will perform simply for the judges' feedback. The Mock Competition is usually held on the first night of your workshop. Additional fees will apply (please refer to Tuition Breakdown).
Other Requests
Have a specific class request? No problem! Simply notify PDP at the time of your reservation and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.
